In Tesla’s Electric Mist, iCOOLgeeks really wanted to create a world and story that you could immerse yourself in for a while as you wander the streets of Colorado Springs, or search through Tesla’s work shop. It was important to us that the puzzles be fun, challenging, and that they build upon the story and lead seamlessly into the next puzzle.
In the game, you are the hero. Your family has a history with the great Nikola Tesla, inventor of the radio, alternating current, and patent holder of hundreds of electrical inventions. Your great-great-grandfather worked for Tesla in Colorado Springs around the turn of the century. A family secret has been passed down over the generations since then, that some day Tesla would need your family’s help once more. What this means, no one in your family really knows. iCOOLgeeks is a small indy development company made up of Tyler Parsons, George Benedict Ferrer, and Aicel Escalada. iCOOLgeeks was started in 2008, and specializes in games for mobile devices.
Tyler Parsons is the Director and Lead Developer at iCOOLgeeks. He is responsible for the overall concept and direction of the games, the storyline, the puzzles, etc. Essentially, if you’re frustrated because you can’t get past a certain puzzle, he’s the guy to blame. Tyler also does the nitty gritty coding, and is responsible for creating the core of the game, as well as each and every puzzle – bringing them to life via little lines of code.
George Benedict Ferrer is our Senior 3D Artist. George is responsible for creating the world of our game in 3D. Although our games are 2D in nature, we design the world’s completely in 3D before moving forward. By doing this we have the ability to pick and chose the best angles to work with on every scene.
Aicel Esclada is our Lead 2D Artist. Aicel is responsible for the exceptional character portraits, animation, and puzzle elements scattered throughout the game, as well as all the little bits and pieces of art that make the game what it is.
